Role Overview
The Intern – IT will contribute to projects involving data preparation, automation, data engineering, Generative AI, APIs, visualization, testing and documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Use Python and SQL for data preparation, analysis and transformation.
- Develop simple scripts, utilities and automation solutions.
- Learn and contribute to data pipelines using Python, PySpark, Databricks and cloud platforms.
- Build Generative AI prototypes using LLMs, APIs and prompt engineering.
- Experiment with AI-assisted information extraction, summarization and workflow automation.
- Assist with APIs and software component integration.
- Create reports, dashboards and visualizations.
- Perform testing, validation, debugging and documentation.
- Collaborate with teams to translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Follow Git, Agile, CI/CD, data governance and responsible AI practices.
Eligibility & Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering or related field.
- Good programming fundamentals, preferably in Python.
- Basic understanding of SQL, databases and data.
- Knowledge of data structures, debugging and problem solving.
- Interest in Data Engineering, Automation, AI and Generative AI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to learn new technologies and work collaboratively.
- Exposure to pandas, PySpark, Databricks, cloud platforms, GenAI, REST APIs, Power BI, Tableau, Git or CI/CD is beneficial.
