Job Description
Qualcomm is hiring Modem-RF Wireless Software Engineers to develop and validate software for its Modem-RF wireless chipsets. The selected candidates will work closely with RF hardware, modem/baseband, RF ASIC, systems and test engineering teams to develop next-generation wireless communication technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop drivers for Modem-RF transceivers.
- Develop and optimize modem and RF transceiver algorithms and software modules.
- Work on antenna and RF front-end technologies.
- Improve system performance, factory yields and RF testability.
- Investigate complex RF and modem-related issues.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, systems and test engineering teams.
- Support the development of new wireless features.
- Develop and validate embedded software for Qualcomm’s wireless chipsets.
Skills Required
- Strong C and/or C++ programming skills.
- Knowledge of RF and digital communication systems.
- Understanding of embedded real-time systems and RTOS.
- Good understanding of software engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of wireless communication systems.
- Understanding of RF theory and ECE fundamentals.
- Knowledge of LTE or 5G NR is an advantage.
- Modem or communication device driver development is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of RF test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer and Oscilloscope is beneficial.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
