Role Overview

As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee, you will support Volvo’s Supplier Quality team in monitoring, analyzing, and improving the quality of supplier parts used in production. The role involves working closely with suppliers, quality teams, production teams, and stakeholders to identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Candidates will gain practical exposure to supplier quality management, quality audits, engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, quality reporting, SAP systems, and continuous improvement methodologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record supplier quality issues on a daily basis.
  • Generate quality alerts and quality notifications.
  • Coordinate with Line Quality Control teams to document quality concerns.
  • Prepare and share weekly and monthly quality reports.
  • Conduct joint quality review meetings with stakeholders.
  • Address supplier part quality issues in production environments.
  • Support root cause analysis of assembly and supplier-related issues.
  • Follow up with suppliers on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and 8D reports from suppliers.
  • Inspect PPAP and ECN parts at supplier locations and in-house facilities.
  • Verify supplier reports against engineering drawing requirements.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives with suppliers.
